TAMALE CITY SET SIGHTS ON PREMIER LEAGUE QUALIFICATION AFTER FA CUP OUSTER
Tamale City has quickly rebounded from their FA Cup elimination and is now laser-focused on securing a Premier League qualification spot, according to Assistant Coach Bashiru Joe Baah.
The Assistant Coach acknowledged that the FA Cup exit was a setback, but emphasized that the team has regrouped and is ready to face Victory Club Warriors in the Division One League on Saturday.
“We’ve picked up the pieces tactically and mentally, and the club is ready to bounce back to winning ways,” Joe Baah said
Tamale City currently sits atop the Division One League Zone 1A standings with 22 points from 8 matches, holding a 3-point lead over second-place team RTU. A win against Victory Club Warriors at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium this weekend would be a crucial step towards achieving their goal of widening the point gap by the end of the second round.
The manager expressed confidence in his team’s ability to secure a victory, saying, “We’re on course for victory, and we’re determined to make it happen.”
Looking ahead to the upcoming transfer window, coach Joe Baah has hinted that Tamale City will be making significant moves to bolster their squad, particularly in the striking force.
“We’re impressed with the current squad, but we need to tighten things up if we want to compete well,” he added.
With their sights firmly set on Premier League qualification, Tamale City is poised to maintain their top spot in the league and make a strong push for promotion.
