Sankara Nationals FC Urges Support from Northern Region Clubs Ahead of Debut Division One League Campaign
Newly-promoted Division One League side, Sankara Nationals FC, is calling for guidance and support from established clubs in the Northern Region as they prepare for their maiden campaign in the second tier of Ghana football.
Speaking on the Sports BULLETIN show on Zangali 106.1fm, club official Abdullai S. Terry emphasized the importance of collaboration with clubs such as Real Tamale United (RTU), Tamale City, Northern City, and Yapei United FC.
“We’ll need their support and guidance. It’s an obligation for them because our success or failure partly lies in their hands,” he stated. “We are ready to do our part, but for us to stay and maintain our slot, we’ll need the experience and direction of those who’ve been in the league before us.”
The Yendi based Sankara Nationals FC recently secured promotion after being emerged champions of the Northern Regional Football Association (NRFA) Division 2 League and are keen on establishing themselves in the competitive Division One League environment.
