
A tragic accident on the Tamale-Buipe Highway has left at least ten people feared dead and several others injured. The incident occurred at Alipe, a community in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region.
According to reports, a Tamale-Kumasi bound VVIP bus with registration number AP 24-21 was involved in the crash. Survivors stated that the bus departed Tamale around 7:30 am amidst rainfall. While attempting to overtake another vehicle, the bus veered off the road, leading to the fatal accident.
Emergency services, including the police and the Ghana National Fire Service, responded promptly. Injured passengers were rescued and transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment. Efforts are ongoing to retrieve bodies trapped under the bus.

This incident underscores the need for caution on the roads, especially during adverse weather conditions. Authorities are urging drivers to exercise patience and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent such tragedies.
