State Property Loot Exposed in Kumbungu
A daring operation by the youth of Kumbungu has Allegedly uncovered a hidden stash of state property at the residence of Mr. Aga, an associate of the Kumbungu District Chief Executive (DCE). The discovery was made on Thursday, December 19, 2024, after the youth had suspected that government property was being hidden at the location.

The Investigation Unfolds
According to Mr. Wumpini (NDC constituency Youth organizer), The youth informed the Constituency Executives, who promptly reported the matter to the District Police Commander. Despite being invited to facilitate a search, Mr. Aga claimed to be in Tamale and failed to comply. Undeterred, the youth took matters into their own hands, mounting a 24-hour surveillance operation around Mr. Aga’s residence.

The Loot Revealed
When Mr. Aga returned to his residence, the youth rushed to the scene, and the NDC Constituency Chairman and his Executives arrived to facilitate a proper search. The search allegedly uncovered a significant haul of state property, including:
- 10 new motorbikes
- 60 boxes of insecticides
- 150 bags of fertilizer
- Sterilizers
- Bicycles
Mr. Aga claimed ownership of the insecticides and sterilizers but admitted that the remaining items belonged to the assembly.

Seized Items Secured
The seized items, According to Mr Abukari Wumpini, have been securely deposited at a warehouse opposite the Kumbungu District Assembly. The Kumbungu Constituency Executives have denied allegations that the items were taken to the Kumbungu Chief’s Palace or that the house of the Kumbungu DCE was attacked.

The Kumbungu Constituency Executives have reaffirmed their commitment to Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL), aimed at reclaiming misappropriated state resources and ensuring that those responsible are held accountable under the law.
