In a poignant display of respect and gratitude, a minute of silence was observed during the Division One League game between RTU and Northern City, honoring the memory of Hajia Saudatu, a renowned entrepreneur and devoted supporter of RTU.
Hajia Saudatu, owner of Fatawu Bicycle Food Complex, passed away on January 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering support for the “Pride of the North.” Her contributions to the team went beyond mere fandom, as she provided food support sometimes , demonstrating her deep commitment to the club’s success.
As the teams took to the field, the ball boys emerged with a banner bearing Hajia Saudatu’s name, a heartfelt tribute to her enduring spirit. The crowd, players, and officials alike observed a solemn minute of silence, paying their respects to a woman whose impact on the team and community will not be forgotten.

RTU’s gesture serves as a testament to the profound influence Hajia Saudatu had on the club and its fans. Her passing may have left a void, but her memory and legacy continue to inspire and motivate the team to strive for excellence.
