President John Dramani Mahama is set to attend the 49th Sports Writers Association Of Ghana (SWAG) Awards as the Special Guest of Honour.
This prestigious event, scheduled for Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Center, will recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of Ghanaian sports personalities and teams in 2024.
President Mahama’s presence at the event underscores his commitment to promoting sports development and excellence in Ghana. He’s expected to deliver a keynote address on the theme “Gold and Glory, a call for change in national orientation and investment in sports,” sharing his vision for sports development in Ghana.
The SWAG Awards have a rich history, dating back to 1975, and have consistently recognized and rewarded top-performing sportsmen and women. This year’s event promises to be an exciting evening, with over 50 top-performing athletes and officials being honored.
