KICKING IT OLD SCHOOL: Republicans 98 Under-8 Group Reunites for Football and Fellowship
A group of old friends from the renowned Republicans 98 Under-8 Group are set to reunite on Sunday, December 22, 2024, for a day of nostalgia, football, and forward thinking. The reunion, taking place at MavMax Restaurant and KuliKuli School Astro Turf, promises to be an exciting event that will bring together old friends and forge new connections.
The day’s program is packed with activities designed to revitalize the group and set a new course for the future. The morning session at MavMax Restaurant will feature a meeting to discuss key issues, including revamping the group, registering new members, reviewing welfare contributions, and planning contributions to their alma mater.
The highlight of the event is a friendly football match between the Republicans and Young Kotoko, scheduled for 3:00-4:00 pm at the KuliKuli School Astro Turf. This exciting encounter will showcase the skills and teamwork of both sides.
Notably, the Republicans are the only Ghanaian Colts club to have won the National Milo Games twice (1998 and 2005), with both squads coached by the illustrious Coach Alhassan Dawuo.
