Asante Kotoko SC Leads the Way in Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols

Asante Kotoko SC has taken a significant step towards ensuring the safety and security of its fans, players, and officials by fully complying with the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) newly introduced Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols.

The club has successfully educated the leadership of its supporters on the new matchday safety and security measures, which include the designation of the green seating section at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium exclusively for visiting supporters.

Asante Kotoko SC has also appointed a Club Safety and Security Officer (CSSO) and a Liaison Officer for the supporters to oversee safety matters on matchdays and enhance communication with the regional sports security officer.

The club has signed and completed an official undertaking of cooperation with the GFA to ensure full adherence to these new protocols. Additionally, Asante Kotoko has prepared and sent to the GFA the code of conduct for its supporters.

“We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to working with all stakeholders to make football safer and more enjoyable for everyone,” said the Management of Asante Kotoko SC in a statement.

The club has urged all its supporters to embrace these new protocols and play their part in upholding discipline and ensuring the safety of all fans, players, and officials.

Asante Kotoko SC’s commitment to safety and security is a welcome development in Ghanaian football, and the club’s efforts are expected to set a high standard for other clubs to follow.
